In the left column you will see the title "Common Electrical Problems Noted With AED Design Build Projects". These are some of the most consistent issues noted by engineers performing inspections. We have some other inspection reports, along with illustrations, that will be coming in future notices. We are presently working on the illustrations and review. You will notice my comments are in italics at the bottom of each issue. These comments are to help you with quick references needed for your reports. If you have any questions please let me know.

Interim, AED is using the new IEC Color Code (A Brown, B Black, C Grey, N Blue, Gnd Yellow/Green) on 380/220V for 50Hz systems, and the traditional U.S. color codes for 60Hz systems.

The AHJ for Afghanistan would like to use the above color code  and is going to lobby with CENTCOM to try to get the policy changed.  I will keep you updated on any changes.
